Q: How do I make my Acura TL 1999 blow more air?
I have a 1999 Acura 3.2 TL and I'm just wondering how I can make the air conditioner blow more air. It feels like nothing is coming out and takes 30 minutes for the car to heat/cool. I had a mechanic test it and he said it's producing the correct temperature and insists there's nothing wrong, but it doesn't blow enough air!
A: this car has a cabin air filter, for the air conditioner, that needs to be changed..not the air filter for the engine - it is a different filter.
Q: Anyone have success in getting Acura to fully repair SRS indicator system?
Acura extended the warranty on the parts required to repair the red SRS (supplemental restraint system light) warning light that stays on to indicate that the system is not working. The notice indicates that repairs will be made free of charge. I took the car in for the service and was told that only 2 of the 3 broken parts were covered. The 3rd part would cost $1,150 to repair. Bait and switch?

I've got a 1998 Acura CL 3.0 with 122,000 miles. I'm going to need to keep this thing for at least another 4 years. I drive 18,000 miles per year. I use tier one gas and synthetic oil, what else should I do to keep the car going a long time?
A: Don't drive it hard when the engine is cold.
Replace the oil and filter every 3000-4000 miles
Keep a good check on oil level and water level
Keep a good watch on the Temperature gauge if it goes above normal stop and let it cool down this is the most lightly thing to cause big MECHANICAL trouble to your engine.
Do not rev high when passable 3000- 4500 rpm

I have searched for superchargers and turbo kits. But, I only seem to find kits for type s rsx's. Do they have these kits for non s type 2002 acura rsx or are there better ways to make my car faster?
A: If it's an automatic, don't do it because you will blow the tranmission.

Q: How can I install a radar detector cord in the roof of a 2004 Acura TL?
I am going to be purchasing a 2004 Acura TL, hopefully soon. I test drove one in which the previous owner had installed a radar detector cord through the roof, so that he could mount the detector next to the rearview mirror. I'm not purchasing that particular car. Should I do this installation myself? Or, where can I have it done? Any of you ever done this before? Thanks. Also, and other customizations that you would reccommend for this car?

Q: How do I remove the radio from my Acura RSX?
I drive a 2005 Acura RSX, with the factory stereo (not Bose). I'm trying to install an iPod Interface (specifically, the USA SPEC iPod Interface). The installation is quick and simple - just plug it into the back and run the wire around and through - so I don't want to have to pay someone else to do it for me. I just have no idea how to pop out my radio without mangling it.

A: All depends on gas prices and gas tank size, most newer cars come with a 13-16 gallon tank and at $3.00 a gallon your looking at from $35.00-$50.00 for a fill up
Q: Can the Xenon headlights from a current generation Acura TL go into a 1997 Acura CL?
I want to put Xenon headlights on but dont know if any newer Acuras have lights that would fit a 1997 Acura 3.0CL. I do not want to add a conversion kit or anything. I simply want to switch out the Xenon healight bulbs. Would that work?
A: Yes. Many people have retrofitted HID parts into non-hid headlights. You will need to get the HID ballasts and HID light bulbs and 99% of the time you will need to modify your current headlamps because it will not just all bolt on. If you're really handy, you can put honda s2k or tsx projectors into your lights like some people do, but that takes money and skill.
Edit: sounds like all you wanna do is change out the lightbulbs and get an HID effect. sorry that simply can't be done, you cant run hid bulbs without ballasts because there would be nothing to amplify the light output.
Q: I want to trade in my acura rsx for a tsx how does it work?
I want to trade in my acura rsx 2006 for a four door tsx. I still owe about 13k on the car is it worth trading it in for a tsx. but the thing is i down 6k for the car. what should i do?
A: If it was me I would sell my RSX to someone just have them pay you you pay off the car and then buy your TSX. If you don't wan't to go through that trouble then take it to a dealer and take it to carmax first as they usually have good purchase prices. I have seen a lot where the people take their car to CARMAX then to the dealer say this is what carmax is giving and then the dealer matches it. You will not get as much as selling it outright but it's easier and you have a tax credit for this when you trade your car in. If your trade in is worth $15000 and the TSX is $27000 then you only pay taxes on $12000 dollars instead of the whole 27. If your taxes were 6% this would save you $900 in taxes that you won't pay.Plus all Acura dealers are looking for RSX's because they are hard to come by so you will get top dollar.
