im getting a new car so i was wondering about an audi a4 2.0T (2005-2007). the only thing is that it has a V4 engine. i dont want a very slow car. is a 4 cylinder engine very slow? also is the M.P.G higher on v4 cars. ? do you know a link where i can look at all the specs of this car like its 0-60 time, etc... thanks

Since I began with this car, there has been a problem with the transmission. Although service people say that it is "within manufacturer's specifications," the car will not down shift properly and seems to be in the wrong (too high a gear for the speed) gear alot of the time. It is annoying, but also unsafe when you need a quick acceleration at 40mph and you're in 6th gear. Coolant began to leak after 18,000 miles, it needed a new part that had to ordered from Germany which took 4 weeks to arrive. My other A4(2003) had a fuel pump that blew after 25,000 miles. Am I just unlucky? No, I'd call this car unreliable.
Engine is noisy. Also some parts of the interior have come loose and rattle going over bumps in the road. Alarm system works intermittently.
Slight lag at the startup. Terrible Pirelli Four Season tires - had the car for less than 2 weeks and got a flat tire. Warranty did not cover it and it cost $200 to replace.
Q: How does the Audi Maintenance Plan work?
I am considering buying a used 2003 Audi A4 3.0 and heard that I may be able to get free oil changes and service through my local Audi dealer. Does Audi have such a plan and if so, how long is it good for?
A: Unless you are buying new the free maintenance prob. wont apply. Some dealers may offer it with used cars they sell, but I'm sure it's rare.
Q: Where can I find the Audi commercial containing a mix of old Audi commercials?
I'm not sure if this commercial is new or old but I just recently started seeing it on TV. I believe it shows a bunch of clips of old Audi commercials mixed together and it's put to some music clip that's hard rock-ish. The advertisement is for an Audi 4 Quattro or something like that. I can't find the commercial anywhere and I'm trying to figure out what the sound clip is from. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Q: How much are my Audi rims and tires worth?
16 inch stock rims from a 1998 Audi A6 with Dunlop Winter Sport M2 205/55R16 tires. The rims have minor curb scratches, but good condition overall. The tires are in good condition, not brand new. Just wondering if anyone knows about how much they would be worth.

I have an audi a4 and I have two keys for it, I baught it used so I don't know which key is the original one? Can you tell me how I can tell?
A: What year? If it is a switchblade style, most likely its an original. Besides, what difference does it make, it's a used car.

A: Hi, I would buy the AWD Quattro. The combination of Engine, Suspension and AWD Quattro will give you one of the best performance car. You can buy an other make good camparable performance FWD car with less money.
Q: How long does a 2005 Audi A4 last? And what kind of fuel does it take?
I am purchasing a 2005 Audi A4 Convertible. Currently, it has 95,868 miles. I am wondering how many more miles it will be able to handle? It has a 1.8 Liter 4 Cylinder Engine. My other question is regarding the type of fuel it takes. I have heard that Audis tend to require the "plus" or "premium" fuel. Will this car be able to accept regular unleaded fuel or do I need to fill up with the more expensive type of fuel?
A: 95k on a 2005, i would probably stay away. However if you want to continue with the sale make sure it has all of the maintenance records and they are done at the proper time. Also if it hasnt had its major tune up, belts, water pump ect. its time for that which is around 1500. How many more miles can it handle, how knows. Its had a rough life so far, I cant see this thing making it past 130k without any problems.
As for fuel, if this were the v6 I would say put in what you want, but with the 1.8t your going to want to go witht he recommended 91 octane.
Q: How to install an amp in a 1996 Audi Cabriolet?
My brother wants me to install an amp in his 1996 Audi Cabriolet, but I have a few questions.
Is the battery located under the hood or somewhere else? I know most BMWs have them in the trunk.
Where is the best place to run a 4 gauge power wire and RCAs to the front of the car?
A: I'm not sure where the battery is, but with some simple looking around it should be pretty easy to spot.
When running RCA and power wire i have always read that running the power wire on one side of the car and the RCA cables on the other side is the best way to keep from having signal problems, but i have had the RCA and power wire (4 gauge) running right next to each other for 2 years now and i have never heard nor had any problems at all. Basically i think whichever is easier for you to do would be the route to go when running your cables.
Run the cables under the paneling and anywhere where it is completely out of the way and won't get pulled on or tugged or accidentally messed with.

Q: How can a audi cvt transmission have tiptronic shifting? mine does not seem to shift when i use tiptronic?
I have an audi a4 2003 and it does not seem to shift when i use the tiptronic portion of the gear selector.
A: I have a 2006 A3 with the stupid CVT transmission and the tiptronic doesn't work as well as my other Audi's tiptronic did (2002 A4 w/o CVT). My A4 would accelerate and decelerate like a manual...but my A3 doesn't. Silly to even put the tiptronic on the CVT tranny because it doesn't work like it should. I'm definitely going with a manual on the next Audi.
Q: What could be causing idle shaking on a 1990 Audi Coupe Quatro?
Hey guys, I have a 1990 Audi Coupe Quattro and it's been shaking at idle. I replaced the front left motor mount because it looked like it was the one that was vibrating, but after I finished the engine was still shaking. (The engine itself is actually shaking very slightly under the hood) What do you guys think it could be?
If it is a mount how do you find which one?

Q: Having electrical problems with my Audi Quattro after a deer ripped off the drivers side review mirror?
I have a 1999 Audi Quattro A6 and last month a deer ripped off the drivers side review mirror the repairs have been done mirror replaced but now my battery won't charge could there be a problem with my electrical ? If so can someone help me troubleshoot so I can find the problem?
A: is that all that got hit? just the mirror?? Was there anything electrical about the mirror?? like maybe a small motor to adjust it from inside the car?
Aside from that you may just have some corroded and worn battery cables. the cars almost 10. or the battery may just be old and not able to get it up anymore. Or the alternator may be worn out ( the most unlikely)
Do you have any sort of electrical tester??
