A: I think it depends which end of the market you are looking at. We have a Skoda Fabia which is an amazing car.
I would say that if you are looking at spending £12k for a car get a skoda as you will get loads of car for the money but if you are spending £20k get an Audi as the image means it will hold its value better. I would not get a top of the range Skoda Superb with a V6 engine for example as it will plummet in value

If i were to buy an audi. would i have to bring it to the dealer or special mechanic to get it repaired and if so is it more expensive than an average normal mechanic?
A: No, but it's hard to find someone who actually knows how to fix them even though then say they can.
Q: why do Audi cars have a speed limiter in them?
i recently checked and all the cars are electronically limited to 130mph. why is this? and are any other cars like this too?
A: So you don't drive too fast?

Most other German automakers limit their vehicles to about 155 mph.

A: Audi sold just 93,506 cars in the U.S. last year, and doesn't feel that's enough cars to warrant building a Stateside factory.
Audi's head of U.S. sales, Johan de Nysschen, said that they need to move at least 150,000 cars here before they'll consider a U.S. plant.
The only Lexus plant in North America is in Canada.

I think Audis are hard to steal because I never have heard of an Audi being stolen like by hotwiring or something? Have you?
A: Nope! I saw in the news that Audi cars were designed not to get stold(Harder glass and a security system that prevent hot wireing). They even tested it with a person who used to seal cars and he failed.

A: You probobly cant get a list like that for privacy reasons unless you are with the government. There would be a lot of names.

A: Check their website for the best info. The majority of their engines are the same as VW, Skoda and Seat.

I have never heard of an audi getting stolen from hotwring or somethinglike that? Why is Audi the only car compny thats unique and different from all the rest of the car companies?
A: Audi cars do get stolen on a very frequent basis and this fact should come at no surprise to you. They are very nice cars and people will do everything they possibly can to steal them. There is nothing really unique and different about the car company from the rest of them, however, the car is very different from other cars because it is made and manufactured in Germany so it is a foreign car.

the r8 and r10 are exceptional cars and im an audi fan...

A: It will change when other auto makers step up there research and development programs like Audi. Things like this happen all the time and more times than not the auto manufacture goes the wrong way at first and never do dominates like they (Audi) have been able to do.
Years ago it was the Toyota cars that were on top. No one could touch them.
Every team out there knows what they have to do to catch up. This type of racing is pretty secret stuff until race season starts but you can always go back to last years track times to set your teams goals. That is what it will take for them to catch up. If your car can't do the time Audi did last year than there is no reason to think you will beat Audi in 2008.
One other thing the driveing teams does matter a little bit but lets face it when you get here your good and there is not that much differenance between drivers it is who made and works on what they are driving.
Q: are Audi parts and labor really alot more expensive than most other cars?
i just got an 1997 audi a6 (a gift - i didn't buy it) but it needs work.
some are telling me i have gotten in over my head because it will be so much more expensive to keep this car up than most other cars.
how true is this?
A: If your're serious about keeping the car, I concur with the previous response about the importance of developing a relationship with a trustworthy and competent mechanic familiar with Audi. Ask other Audi drivers for recommended shops and/or mechanics in your area. Nurture that relationship with the mechanic - take him a 6-pack or a bottle of wine. Remember him at Xmas.
In life one needs an honest MD and an honest mechanic.

I want to buy a sophisticated and excellent looking car on which gilrs can go crazy... When Im out to the market I can see many cars. For me one line cars are Audi, BMW, Mercedess and other line of cars is Toytota, Honda, Nissan..etc... What are the adavantages of buying first line of cars over later line of cars.

i was planning to buy a BMW 3 series coupe, but i find they are too common and dont want to be just another face in the crowd; i saw an Audi A5 coupe and think it looks pretty nice. How are Audi cars? are they reliable or not so reliable and expensive to repair (like BMW or Benz)

A: I have an my Audi A4 for 10 years and has 190k miles. I love mine. Be advised with any german car you will have maintaince costs higher than normal.
