A: Go for the Honda it out performs the mit, hands down in all areas other than maybe speed.
Although neither of these cars are cheap to repair if there ever was a problem but the Honda is the cheapest. I was in the repair business for 35 years and could tell you some real horror stories on the mitsubishi`s Parts prices are out of site or they were when I finally retired and sold my business. My opinion it should be Honda and Toyota in a dead heat as far as performance and longevity. They both cost about the same to maintain and repair. In fact I would rather buy an American car and pay a little more in keeping it going than to pay the ridiculous prices the mit. Is probably going to cost you. And one other thing. if you do go for the mit. Do not buy one with double turbo`s.
Q: cost to replace a distributor on a honda crv 2001?
I was recently quoted a $700 repair bill to replace the distributor on my 2001 Honda CRV. Does this sound right. Thanks for your help.
A: yes thats about right. but if ur DIY savy u can do it yourself its just 3 bolts and 1 plug. whats the problem with the car that the distributor needs to be replaced? could just be the igniter or the coil pack.
Q: Can I convert my Honda CRV to AWD All Wheel Drive?
Can I convert my lowest end model Honda CRV '06 to All Wheel Drive? If so, how much will it cost and can it be done properly?
A: I don't think it is feasible. You can make it happen but the expense will be too high. It isn't a pull-out/plug-in job either. You will have to modify parts of the chassis on top of having to replace the entire transmission, and maybe the radiator.
You would be better to get another vehicle that is All Wheel Drive already.
Q: Where is the best place to sell my Honda CRV?
I'm selling my Honda crv due to getting a motorcycle, its a 2001 (51 reg) model and has only 77,000 miles on the clock, the car is in really good condition and as all Honda's are the engine will go forever.
A: Dont bother with eBay, that's where you are best to sell a car quick, but you are never guaranteed to get the price the car deserves.
I'd recommend taking it to a Honda dealership. That's probably the best place since it's still under 10 years of age.

I am in the process of purchasing my first new car, so far I driven used vans. I looked at the Honda CRV and it is price tag seemed to be ok, but would like to get some feedback on its performance especially as it gets older.
A: Yes it is. If you are looking new, don't go with a ford. It's resale value will be significantly lower than that CR-V. Honda's 3 year resale on all vehicles typically beats Toyota by 3-7% and American cars by over 10%. With gas prices going up, getting a 2WD CR-V with a 4 cylinder will give you better gas mileage than a V6. Even if it is small at $3/gal the difference will add up quickly. Additionally most people expect gas to go over $4/gal. If you compare the cost of ownership of the Honda to the ford/nissan/toyota you will probably find that it is significantly lower than the others. Honda is the number one producer of internal combustion engines in the world and you will get plenty of power from their engines. They are built to have high gas efficiency and low emissions. The 2006 CR-V is very safe also. I would only drive Hondas!
Q: where can i find the radio reset code for my honda crv?
my battery went dead and now I need a code to reset my honda crv, it's a '99, and the dealer I bought it from doesn't have it, and it's not listed in my glove box. Any suggestions would help, but I prefer anwsers. Thanks, kathy
A: Is that a security reset code and is this the Honda radio? You should contact another Honda dealer for that. I used to have a CRV and I never had that problem, but I know that Honda dealers have access to that info. If one doesn't, they aren't doing their job. Call another.
Q: What model Honda CRV has the lumbar support in the driver's seat?
I have a low back pain issue that makes it difficult to buy just any car. The Honda Accord and some Civic models have the perfect lumbar support system for my back. Unfortunately, I need a car that is not so low to the ground since our driveway is a long, uphill gravel one. Since I have had luck with the Honda Accord, I have looked into the CRV and found that the earlier models did not have the lumbar support option and caused me alot of pain when I test drove them. Does anyone know if Honda re-engineered the driver's seat in the CRV and if so, when? Thanks!

You can go to any car audio store and they should be able to install what you need.

When I go to change the transmission fluid, the dealer told me not to use Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) in my vehicle but Continuously Variable Transmission Fluid(CVTF). What is the difference between ATF & CVTF. Which one is ideal for my vehicle?
A: look on the dipstick, or in the manual. its probably the ATF in a 98 model...CVTF is multi-grade
