Q: Hyundai cars?
Can someone please tell me if Hyundai cars are good cars for first time drivers? I am planning to trade in our 2004 Nissan Sentra for a 2006 Hyundai. And also if someone drives one can you tell me why this car is cheap? I know they are Korean made but I have heard people say that Korean made cars are not the good.
So how is the rating crash wise?
A: Yes, Hyundai cars are good for 1st time drivers, though an older car like your 2004 Sentra is even better since the car is already paid for, lower insurance and a quality car. Hyundai cars are cheaper then most other brands because the cost of labor in Korea isn't as expensive as in Europe (the highest rate and car prices) and is a bit less then US or Japan.
However there's absolutely nothing cheap about the design, quality or style of the Hyundai cars. Hyundai is one of the safest brands on the market with all the key safety features available (ABS, multiple airbags, traction control, ESC, impact headrests, etc.).
I bought a 2006 Hyundai Azera and love it, what model are you looking at that would make you want to give up your relatively new Sentra?
Any more info needed on the quality and reputation of the latest models please go direct to the Hyundai website for all the latest!
Q: Bought a Hyundai (a lemon)... How can I let people know that they shouldn't buy Hyundais? They are bad cars!!
I had just bought a new 2007 Hyundai Elantra. I have only had it for 2 weeks and it already requires major mechanical fixes. When I brought up the supposed 10 year, 100,000 mile warranty, the people at the dealerships just laughed in my face. What can I do to warn people not to buy hyundai cars, since they should learn from my experience with this brand?
Car needs a new timing belt+clutch.
A: Please, can you stop lying about what really happened. Do you really expect anyone to believe that you bought a new car and 2 weeks later it required major repairs that the warranty wouldn't cover? Even if the dealership did turn you away all you had to do was call the Hyundai customer service number and they would take care of you.
So, what you can do is stop posting your lies and defamation of one of the best brands of car on the road. Now go ahead and post how everyone should buy an American V8 car make of real steel....we're waiting....
Q: How do you deactivate the automatic door lock above a certain speed on Hyundai cars?
A: There is a trick to this, and you don't have to unplug anything. Some models you turn the ignition on and off three times, then hit the unlock button, or some such nonsense. It's definitely in your owner's manual.
Q: are the 2002 and up hyundai elantra cars good?
are they as good as the hondas and the toyotas as in being realiable?
A: Despite what people think Hyundai has come a long way since the days of run down POS, although you can still tell where costs have been cut (interiors, control materials) reliability issues have dropped drastically. Although maybe not as comparable to Toyota and Honda who solidified their reputation in reliability, Hyundai more than anything just carries a stigma as a cheap low brand vehicle, where as now days that's not quite the case. Some of their vehicles actually outrate comparable Toyota's and Honda's.
Q: Why did Mercedes, Honda, and Hyundai decide to build cars in Alabama?
Why did Mercedes, Honda, and Hyundai decide to build cars in Alabama?
A: because it actually less expensive to build here with parts imported from their respective countries, and then ship them back to their respective country, BMW, Toyota, Nissan and others also have factories inside the USA. That and because none of them are unionized.
Q: Does anyone know how the new Hyundai Veracruz SUV cars are? I am thinking of buying one?
Haven't heard much about the new Hyundai Veracruz,,, I wanted to get some feedback from anyone that know about them or owns one.
A: We were at the at fitness center on Saturday and saw one in the parking lot, so we went over and started looking at it, then to our surprise the owner popped out the passenger side. She showed us a bit and we were happy to see that the 3rd row was fairly roomy and all of the seats fold flat. Like us, she replaced her minivan with the Veracruz. She seemed very happy and said she had owned since they came out in May 2007. You can find more owner reviews on yahoo autos or http://www.edmunds.com and of course learn more about Hyundai at http://www.hyundaiusa.com , some car magazine apparently said the Veracruz was better then a Lexus RX330 which costs $10,000 more. In 2 years we might trade in our Nissan Quest and get one, we do love our Hyundai Azera.
Q: How are Hyundai cars?
They are really really cheap, but are they reliable? and good cars that need little repair?
A: Think about that for a sec. They are really cheap says it all. Don't waste your money on low quality crap.
Q: Does Hyundai make dependable cars?
I've heard that Hyundai used to make very cheap and unreliable cars, but i've also heard that the cars have been getting better recently. I'm looking at getting a 2000-2002 Hyundai Accent and i guess my question is if Hyundai started getting their act together before 2000... or should i look at something else? (Basically, when did Hyundai cars start to be okay? Or are they okay?)
A: If you have a Hyundai ( Year 2000 or more ) then they will be absolutely reliable. You can open any car website you will know that Hyundai since 2005 is becoming a brand with the fewest problems in every 100 Vehicles.
Hyundai used to be a cheap car company but not now, I even heard that they are considering to make a luxury brand like ( Lexus, Acura and Infiniti ) in a couple of years.
Q: Are Hyundai Sonata or Hyundai Elantra good cars the years between 1994-2002?
Why or why not? Also is these more for a male, female,or both and I'm not trying to said sexes? I just don't see to many males drive these types of cars. Also would it be comfortable for a guy that's 5'9? What are some common problems that go wrong with these cars?
A: Sonata is a better option to the Elantra its one of their luxury models, Hyundai from 1996-2000 has some restructuring and I wouldn't suggest any Hyundai from those years.
Any model after 2001 has a much better performance, if you're worried about size I would go for the Sonata.
Q: Do hyundai cars have a good resale value?
serious answers only, please.
A: they are going to be better than us vehicles because its mainly korean. but look at consumer reports and you will see the jap auto makers hold better resale value.
Q: Is KIA and Hyundai inferior to Japanese cars?
Ok, they only been around for a couple of years in America, compare to well established brands like, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Mazda, and Mitsubishi that start it way back in the 1960s in America. Well KIA and Hyundai came out of nowhere' in the 1990s which at that time was competing with superior Japanese cars that we grow up with. So my question is, are they superior or inferior? Me, I think there infrior. So gave me your feetback. thank you.
A: Some models are inferior and some are superior.
They are better than Mistubishi and some Nissans and Toyota's, but worst than some Nissan's and Honda's.

can any one let me know with the 'i' in hyundai's i10 and i20

Q: anyone in sell cars for hyundai? How is the product line? Comments??
Im thinking about getting back into the car business, but im looking for any comments or concerns with the hyundai line. I have a job offer to be a ASM for a dealership here in dallas, just seeing what you guys have to say about the business so far this year with all the newly re-designed cars.
A: Hyundai is an up-and-comer. Their Sonata was 3rd behind the Ford Fusion and Honda Accord on J.D. Powers APEAL ratings for midsized sedans. It was ahead of year-to-year powerhouses Camr, Altima, and G6.
Your question really depends on saturation in Dallas. Here is Oklahoma City, Hyundai is one of the few brands that is not oversaturated, so it's easy for those dealerships to make money. We've been trying to get a Hyundai dealership for a couple of years now, but they are very particular about location and Stillwater is the only city close to OKC that they are willing to consider right now.
Dallas could probably support 5 or 6 new Hyundai dealerships, so check to see how many there are and base your decision on that.
Hope it helps.
Q: Why is Hyundai allowed to use illegal aliens to build cars at its Alabama plant?
I heard today that Hyundai uses illegal aliens at its plant in Alabama. Who are they really making jobs for? Americans? I don't think so.
A: Its not fair to make fun of these wonderfull cars. lol lol lol
Q: Hyundai cars...what do you think?
So I'm thinking of buying a Hyundai Tiburon (2003 GT) and I was just wondering what everyone thought about Hyundai. I've never owned one and just wanted to know if they were nice, dependable cars? Thanks!
A: They are cheaper in cost for a reason- poor depreciation rates, poor reliability and yes they do take away American jobs. Text211 has no clue what he/she is talking about- besides a few jobs they made here by building the Sonata and Santa Fe, all profits go straight to Korean pockets. And all other models are made in Korea by Koreans. I have nothing against any people especially Asian people as I myself am of Asian origin but if we are to survive this economic recession, we need to support our own people first and we do that buy buying American made products as much as possible.
Other than that, I would never buy a Hyundai just because its not really a good value in the long run. Who cares if its a little bit cheaper initially but depreciates much faster than all other makes? Really, car savvy people know to avoid Hyundai and KIA.
Edit: I have been watching the comments here and there is no doubt that Hyundai dealers are unscrupulously posting false information just to make a sale. That should tell you something about the service you will later get at the dealer. Every comment about Hyundai that is not positive automatically gets a thumbs down no matter what yet SPAM from a Hyundai dealer is given a thumbs up and even celebrated to rave about how wonderful their Hyundais are?!
Caution is needed.
