Q: How do I remove the rear and front speakers from a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon?
I've looked everywhere and can never find a straight answer. I find mentions of a site that has diagrams, but the only site i can find is the Hyundai Motors America site, and I cant find the diagrams anywhere. I need to know how to remove the rear and front speakers from an 03 Tiburon. Any help is appreciated.

A: those cars are pretty straight forward there will be a couple screws most likely noticeable to find and then clips there on.. dont be scared of it just be cautious when removing. dont yank and pull too hard on anything and you will be just fine.

Q: i own a hyundai tiburon and there are some bumps on the body?
hi i just bought this hyundai tiburon adn there seems to be some trouble with it it happens to have some bumps on it from the driver's side and i was wandering about how much would it cost me to fix them plus if there is a way for me to fix it personally ohh one more is there any specific body mechanic or repairing mechanic in Virginia that you recommend for me to go to... plz respond as soon as possible

A: You would have to get someone to look at them in person. There is no way anyone on the net can give you a estimate for bodywork without seeing the vehicle in person. Body damage is always different-what might cost a few hundred to fix on one car might cost a thousand to fix on another car.

Q: How many miles can I expect to get out of a 03' hyundai tiburon?
Im thinkin of buying one that already has 89,000 miles on it, not sure if its a good Idea or not.

A: The first guy is ignorant. Hyundai quality is right up there with Honda and Toyota. I have an 01 Elantra w/ 135,000 on it and have nothing but good things to say about it. So do alot of other people. I would be a little wary about it the 2003 Tib. It was the first year of the current generation of the Tiburon and it was problematic just like many cars in their first year. All Tibs after that year were good after Hyundai worked out all the bugs. Not saying not to get it but just be careful. If you do decide to get it make sure all the recalls have been addressed and have a mechanic check it out.

Q: Anybody know where you can buy a replacement clock for a 1999 Hyundai Tiburon?
I bought a used one a few months back and the clock does not work, it just blinks 1:00 and shorts out when you try to set it.

A: If you buy this part from a Hyundai dealer it has been modified to stop this from happening. If you buy it from a junk yard or wreckers you will end up with the same problem you have now.

Q: How is the insurance on a Hyundai Tiburon?
Im 14 right now, but im looking at cars and I LOVE this one, but my mom and dad think that the insurance would be high? Is it bad? Thanks

A: My insurance company told me that the Tiburon was not considered a sports car. So the insurance on it would be no different than any other car for you. Other insurance companies may see it different, so you may want to check. (The new ones that are to be available with high powered engines in them may be different)

Q: I just bought a Hyundai Tiburon, almost every time I start it I'm having trouble?
Almost every time I start my car, the RPM's go to about 3000's and sometimes 4000's. It does it for about 5 to 6 seconds. Then sometimes while I park the car and put it in park it goes to about 2500's RPM's and during each time this happens I dont touch the accelerator, what is the problem?

A: Is it new?? If so, take the damn thing back.. That is what the warranty is for. If it is not new, your local Hyundai dealer has the best factory trained technicians. Have them take a look at it.

Q: How is the Hyundai Tiburon compared to the Mazda 3?
Looking at reliability and price.

A: The Tiburon is to be compared to the rx8. To compare a mazda 3 should be a civic or corolla

Q: I have a 1997 Hyundai Tiburon that was surging now dies out and runs 30mph and is missing. What's wrong?
Have changed the oxygen sensor, fuel filter, and the coil packs. The check engine light was on but has gone off. It feels like the car can't get enough gas. If anyone has had this problem or has a suggestion please let me know. I have changed coil pack, oxygen sensor, & fuel filter. Is fuel pump the problem? It is acting up while idoling now. Any suggestions. It's not the transmission.

A: I would check the mass air flow sensor and the throttle position sensor. The throttle position sensors are know to fail especially this old. The mass air flow sensor can cause the same issues. If you are not the original owner even check that it is not installed backwards, there is an arrow on the sensor pointing which way it should be installed.

Q: How do I get a stuck automatic window in my Hyundai Tiburon to come back up?

A: It will probably need a new window regulator, but always check the fuses first. In the meantime, like many others have said, use the switch and try and manually raise the window slowly by hand. If it won't move at all, the cable may be broken. If you can get the window up, use some clear packaging tape around the top of the window frame to hold it there. I've changed several window regulators before and it's no fun. If you want to save some money and do it yourself, be sure and get a service manual first. Especially with new cars, it can be difficult to work them in and out of the door opening and the window glass often has to be unbolted from the mechanism first. If it is only the motor and cable assembly, see if that can be removed separately while leaving the window and regulator in place. This works on some cars and consider yourself luck if that's your case. Expect to pay around $75 for a motor/cable or $150 for an entire regulator assembly.

Q: What should I be my asking price for a 1999 Hyundai Tiburon?
I'm trying to sell my car, but not sure what I should set my asking price to. I've looked at KBB, Edmunds, and Nada and they all have wide range in private party value. Should I just take the average? Is one of them more accurate than the others? Is there some other source I should look up?

A: I would trust Edmunds the most since it is (supposedly) based on actual sales data. KBB has always seemed highly inflated to me. Not sure about NADA. Unless you're in a rush to sell it, I'd price it below KBB but above Edmunds and state that in the ad (i.e. "$XXX below Kelley Blue Book!" -- I'm assuming KBB is showing the highest price of the three, it always seems to). If you don't get any interest after a few weeks, you know it's time to lower the price. I would also suggest checking your local http://craigslist.com, although I don't think the '99 Tiburon is a very common car. That will give you "real world" asking prices. You can also check sale prices on http://motors.ebay.com, though bidders tend to low ball on those auctions since they must also pay for shipping.

Q: How much should I sell a 03 Hyundai Tiburon GT V6 with 78,000 miles on it in good condition???
I know i can look at Kellys Blue Book but what do you think i could get for it?

A: I rarely see anyone get blue book on anything. I'd say 10-20% below whatever blue book says for private party value.

Q: How much should a 120000 mile tune-up on a 1997 Hyundai Tiburon inc. timing belt and water pump cost?

A: I'd say roughly 800-1000 slightly more if you go to a dealer estimate the same cost as your prior mileage tuneup it should be roughly the same all mine for the past 24 years have been within 300 bucks of eachother and thats with 3 different cars

Q: How much will it cost to repaint a '04 Silver Hyundai Tiburon a totally new color (possibly yellow or orange)?

A: That first posters number seems quite high, maybe cost that much for a large SUV/Conversion Van. For a car your size, to sand the car down, prime it, apply 2 coats of color and then clear coat and bake it, you are looking at $2000-$3000 depending on the labor rates in your area. Those paint jobs advertised for under $1000 will start peeling shortly after you get the car back with bubbles and unpainted interior door frame etc.

Q: is the hyundai tiburon 06 better looking than the ford mustang 04?
the ford mustang is very long in relation to its wheelbase. those big arches are so ugly. the wheel/tire look so small in relation to the car. plus the interior is awful. i like the fact that the mustang is rwd and has better mileage. what do u guys think?

A: i like the interior of the tiburon but that's it. those cars are so ugly!

Q: What's better, a scion tC or a hyundai tiburon?
I think both of the cars are all right for my first car, but I don't know which one to pick.

A: The Scion tC uses the same engine as the Toyota Camry. I think the Scion is better, overall, mainly because of the resale value and interior comfort. In this class, I prefer the Mazda 3 and the Honda Civic better than either the tC or the Tiburon.
