Q: What does Overdrive do on a Jeep Liberty?
I have a 2005 Jeep Liberty and it has this button that turns on and off Overdrive. What effect does that have on my driving?
A: What is does is keeps the transmission from ingauging the overdrive ratios. IE one less than 1 to 1. This means the motor RPMs are higher on the highway so you get less gas mileage but you make more HP if you are towing so you dont smoke the Trans going up a steep hill with a load and have your trans shift up and down.

Q: Jeep Liberty heater doesn't work properly unless I am driving fast?
My Jeep Liberty won't blow heat unless I am accelerating or going fast on the highway. If I stop or slow down, it starts blowing cold again.
It seems to me like the faster I drive (accel.) the hotter it will blow, and it will keep the heat until I slow down. If I come to a stop, it will slowly start blowing colder and colder air, until it starts blowing just COLD air. What is the problem? It is an 2004 Jeep Liberty with 43000 miles.
A: One thing that can cause this is low coolant level. Remove the radiator cap and make sure it's full.
Q: How many people can ride in a Jeep Liberty?
Is it made to seat 4 or 5 people? We may inherit a used Liberty from a family member and I'm wondering if two child booster seats will fit in the back with another child who is eight and just outgrew his booster seat. Also, how bad is the gas mileage? I bet it's worse than the Jeep Cherokee we now drive. Either way I'm just thankful for their offer. Just wondering if the kids might fit in the back. Thanks :)

Q: What should I buy for my Jeep Liberty?
A couple months ago, I bought a used 2002 Jeep Liberty Sport. Its in great condition and has only 70,000 miles on it. Im looking to sort of soup it up. To start I was wondering if I could take the Jeep Liberty Renegade hubcaps and put them on my jeep since the renegade hubcaps are different from the sport hubcaps? Also, any suggestions on what I should buy for it?

I was on the UK Jeep site (a little bored) and I saw that they are selling the Jeep Liberty under Jeep Cherokee?? Why is this?? Is it some stupid thing about the US or something? Jeep is american made and should be sold under the name we give it anywhere!
A: The British don't like to be reminded that we were the beginning of the end of the empire. Mostly though, it has to do with marketing. It is the same reason that Hong Kong movies are often sold here under different names. By the by, there isn't necessarily anything wrong with American cars, anything well maintained will run for a long time, depending on where you live. New England kills cars (particularly jeep cooling systems), but in the southwest classic cars are daily drivers. Love your vehicle share your money with it and it will last.
