Q: What are the largest rims I could put on My jeep patriot?
I want 22' maybe? Would this affect anything? Would my black patriot look better with black rims or chrome?

A: Sorry, but it's a Jeep Patriot. I'm not saying that they are ugly, it's just that larger rims would look tacky i think.

Q: Can you get a Jeep Patriot with Navigation?
I saw one on ebaymotors, can you special order?

A: yes you can ,if you order one you can have them add this as a factory package, its a fairly simple process, good luck.

Q: Is it a good time to buy a Jeep Patriot?
I like the Jeep it looks classy and it appears to be a good time to buy one. Anyone have any experiences with owning one?

A: It's a great time to buy a Jeep, regardless of the model. Chrysler is currently offering employee pricing for everyone and there are up to $2,500 in rebates available (though you may not qualify for all of that). The employee pricing is a great incentive though. Patriot is a great Jeep that is available in a 4X2 (front wheel drive) or a 4X4 (front wheel drive with a 4 wheel drive lock). It's not just available in 2 wheel drive. Patriot offers good fuel economy (29mpg on 2 wheel drive & 24mpg on 4x4), nice cargo capacity, and a very nice comfortable drive. If you go with the off-road group you get a vehicle that is pretty good off-road as well. The stock 4x4 is no wimp... it's got great capability in the snow and on the trails (just don't take it rock crawling or mud bogging). I drive a Cherokee myself, but my boss and one of my co-workers drive Patriots. We are in Michigan and have had a pretty rough winter. Not a single time has any of us gotten stuck or anything this winter. Patriot is pretty much an adolescent Cherokee. It's only available in a 4 cylinder, it's a little narrower, and the ground clearance a little lower. Overall the Patriot is a great vehicle for those that don't need the brawn of the Grand Cherokee or Liberty. Patriot is highly recommended. If you go with the 4x4 the vehicle will most likely retain high resale value as well (just like the Cherokee).

Q: What are the differences between the jeep liberty and the jeep patriot ?
differences??? what is better?? depending on..... -engine -fuel efficiency -space -capabilities ( on road / off road ) -seating -transmission availability ( auto or standard ) -any others I might have missed

A: Patriot is FWD and the Liberty is more truck like with a body-on-frame and RWD.

Q: Is anyone aware of suspension lift kits for the 07 Jeep Patriot?
I know the Chrysler SkunkWerks team lifted the SEMA concept 2.5" over stock. But the only "factory" lift is 1 inch. Tried searching different Jeep parts places but no one carries any suspension parts for the Patriot. Would Jeep Liberty 2.5" spacers work. The Patriot and Liberty are both McPherson strut in the front.

A: Where there is a will, there is a way. If you want 2.5" of lift, you might need to get innovative and see what kind of springs or spring spacers you need to lift the car. http://www.eatonsprings.com/ would be a good place to see if a custom spring application is available to get you the 2.5" of lift.

Q: Anyone own a Jeep Patriot - or know anything about them?
Just looking for an SUV and the base model of the Patriot is actually the least expensive of the ones I have been looking at so far so was wondering what people thought of the car... Thanks!

A: The interior has somewhat of a cheap plastic feel to it but in the Patriot, it somehow actually works ( as opposed to the Dodge Caliber where it just feels cheap. Keep in mind that the Dodge Caliber, Jeep Patriot, and Jeep Compass all share the same body and engines ). I've never driven the Patriot but I have experience with the Caliber. It seems to be a competent vehicle and unlike the AWD Caliber, you can add the Freedom Drive II package to the Patriot which will give it the 'Trail Rating' seal of approval from Jeep.

Q: What is better a jeep patriot or a toyota yaris?
Thinking of trading in our Nissan maxima for either a jeep patriot or a toyota yaris. Anyone have these vehicles and any advice? The ever climbing never stopping gas prices, I am thinking I would rather have in my pocket then to continually make the oil companies richer.

A: well the dealership i work at is a toyota dealership. but you are comparing apples to oranges...the yaris is roomy and great for fuel economy. the jeep has more capacity for hauling bigger items, a little less fuel economy but you get the extra cargo space. they are both great!!!!! good luck!

Q: How about a Jeep Patriot for mom and 3 kids driving very bumpy, crazy road?

A: You may want to opt for the 4x4 model.

Q: Aright which is better jeep patriot or jeep compass?
My girlfriend is buying one of the two today. But i want to kno which one is better and more reliable. Which one got better ratings overall.

A: They both are about as reliable as your average Chrysler vehicle, and they both have depreciation that is on par with a rock falling from a 2 story window. Good bye and good luck.

Q: I have a Jeep Patriot but I want to make it higher?
How much would it cost to get a rise? and would it be okay if i don't change the tires?

A: A Jeep Patriot is not a real Jeep. Lifting a real Jeep is almost trivial. Lifting a Patriot will be non-trivial. Why? Most Jeeps use solid front and rear axles. Just come up with a way of moving that axle down and you're done. It may be complicated a little by the steering gear in front, but not much. With independent suspension, depending on the setup, you may have to worry about camber and alignment, and you've probably got more moving parts in the suspension which you have to be sure don't contact in their new position. This is a non-issue with real Jeeps. I'm just saying this because...the idea I get about people who would buy a Patriot is that hey haven't a clue that there is something fundamentally wrong with the vehicle they're buying. Turns out none of this is a problem, because someone makes a lift kit that takes all these issues into account. I just searched for these terms: "jeep patriot lift kit" and it was the first result. http://www.rocky-road.com/patriotsus.html It'll cost you 330 bucks, and since I'm guessing you're a novice, a couple hours of your time. (They claim an hour, but if you've never done it before, ANYTHING on a car, multiply by at least 3 or 4 times).

Q: Which is a better car the jeep patriot or the jeep compass?
Thinking about buying one or the other, both base models, and don't need 4X4. Was wondering if anybody knows about both and if the interior room is the same. I am a big guy (6'5", 280lb) so head and leg space are important was wondering which was better.

A: Definitely the Patriot! Although I'm not postive on the size, I'm pretty sure it's a TINY bit larger. It is also nicer looking, newer on the market, and more of a man's car.
